Veteran Malayalam actor Cochin Haneefa passed away today (February 2, 2010) due to liver problem. The actor was hospitalized for the past few days back following lever illness, died at Ramachandra hospital at Chennai. The last film he acted was Dileep’s Body Guard. Cochin Haneefa was suffering from liver problem for long time and was admitted in hospital sometime back.He was 58. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, who are twins. Cochin Haneefa real name is Salim Ahmed Ghoush. Cochin Haneefa most famous movie was Valtsalyam in 1993. Cochin Haneefa started his acting career in Malayalam movie in 1970's. Cochin Haneefa worked in around 300 movies.He was a comic member of the famed "Cochin Kalabhavan Troupe" whose members include Bindhu Panicker, Jayaram,Kalabhavan Mani and Harisree Asokan. Cochin Haneefa is a dynamic personality in Malayalam cinema. Cochin Haneefa acted in Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi movie. He started his career in the 1970\\\'s as a villain and turned to be one of the popular comedians of Malayalam film industry.
