It seems to be raining sequels in Kerala. The latest to join the bandwagon is the immensely popular film 'Sandesham', that was directed by Sathyan Anthikkad and which was released in 1991. Almost twenty years after the film was released, Sreenivasan and Sathyan Anthikkad would be joining hands for a sequel. Jayaram and Sreenivasan would appear again in the sequel as KRP and Kottappalli in this political satire. With the highly transformed political scenario in the state, the sequel would in all possibility have an extremely interesting tale to tell. 'Sandesham' had remained a huge hit both with the masses and the critics.
