Pazhassi Raja will be a historical event: 'Mammootty'

The forthcoming magnum opus Pazhassi Raja marks the coming together of super star Mammootty, eminent writer M.T. Vasudevan Nair and director Hariharan after a gap of 20 years. It will be an "event in the history of films," Malayalam superstar Mammootty said, adding that he is not nervous before the release, scheduled for Friday. "Is there any use if I’m under pressure now? That time is over and this film is going to be an event in the history of films. It has certainly been a very long wait and of course I am relieved that it is finally going to be released,” Mammootty said. Meanwhile, it is heard that the makers of Pazhassi Raja have decided not to raise the ticket prices of the film in the opening days. Mammootty's fan associations are making grand arrangements to receive the biggest Mammootty movie ever, which is expected to open in 120 centres in Kerala. The costliest Malayalam film till date, the film has been made with a whopping budget of over Rs. 25 crore and is dubbed in Hindi, Telegu and Tamil. Pazhassi Raja has music by Ilayaraja and the sound effects are by Oscar winner Resul Pookutty.
